About Haven Pines
Jonathan and Erin purchased the Haven Pines property in the fall of 2018 with the dream of creating a peaceful homestead where people and animals alike could feel at home. Over time, that dream has grown into a lively family farm filled with horses, goats, chickens, steers, bees, seasonal pigs, and many dogs who watch over the homestead.
Erin grew up in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, and she and Jonathan met while working together at a local summer camp — an experience that sparked not only their relationship but the vision that would one day become Haven Pines.
Horses have always been at the center of Erin's life. She has focused her career in the equine industry on colt starting, training, riding and driving instruction, and wholeistic equine wellness. She is a Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) Level 4 English and Level 4 Western instructor, and she also holds certifications in equine massage and barefoot hoof care. Before returning to Wisconsin, Erin started and grew a thriving hoof-care practice in Nebraska, serving more than 200 regular clients.
Today, Haven Pines is a welcoming, family-run business offering riding and driving lessons year-round, horse-drawn sleigh rides during the winter season, and horsemanship clinics featuring guest clinicians from across the country. Jonathan and Erin love sharing their farm with the community and creating meaningful, memorable experiences for families, riders, and anyone who enjoys horses and the quiet charm of the Northwoods.
